In addition to repairing instruments for customers, I also buy and repair old instruments and resell them for affordable prices. Unless noted otherwise, all instruments are used but have been cleaned and adjusted, have new pads and new key corks where needed, and new tenon corks where needed and are ready to play. Under typical circumstances, I do not ship or deliver instruments to buyers and I do not do trial periods. Customer Satisfaction Guarantee: If you have any issues with an instrument you purchased from us, we will fix it free of charge for up to 6 months after the date the repairs were initially completed. This only includes work that we have done which would cover all pads, key corks, tenon corks and adjustment issues on the instruments listed below. NOTE: This does not cover cracks that appear on wooden clarinets that were not present at the time of the sale. Unless a crack or crack repair is mentioned in the listing, all cracks are treated as new repairs.
IMPORTANT: Though the instruments listed below are sold as playable with new pads and tenon corks installed where needed, they may need additional adjustments in order to be in the most optimal playing condition for your preferences or needs.
Selmer USA 1400 Plastic Student Bb Clarinet. $200
The clarinet pictured below is a student plastic resin clarinet made by Selmer USA in 2009 just before the Conn-Selmer Merger. The Selmer 1400 is based on the design of the Bundy Resonite clarinet, which is known for being a durable and reliable student clarinet. These instruments play great with good tone, solid intonation, and durable keywork that stays in adjustment. The pictured instrument has pads that are in good condition that were recently replaced, good condition tenon corks, has been fully cleaned, polished and oiled and is in playing condition. This instrument is priced at $200 and includes a mouthpiece, ligature and mouthpiece cap (not pictured but will be included) and the factory case which has also been cleaned. King Lemaire Intermediate Wood Bb Clarinet with case, mouthpiece, ligature and mouthpiece cap. $300
The clarinet pictured below is a wooden intermediate clarinet manufactured by Strasser SML in France in the 1950s or 1960s and was sold as a King here in the United States. This instrument has new pads, new tenon corks, has been fully cleaned and oiled, and has been completely refurbished. This would make a great affordable step up instrument for a serious high school student or even a great clarinet for a college musician. No cracks or other body damage, the wood is in great shape and the bore has been oiled. This clarinet is being sold for $300 and includes the factory case, a stock Bundy mouthpiece, original King ligature and mouthpiece cap.
